Description:

36 year old Swede, Erika Lust, rounds up singers, poets and porn performers for her wonderful 75 minute film, CABARET DESIRE (2011, Erika Lust Films-Barcelona, New Sensations Erotic Stories Collection) with 4 smoldering encounters told via narration from poets at a poetry brothel; some musical interludes and performances are intertwined between scenes. Erika's sex scenes are extremely short by today's gonzo porn standards; however, she knows how to write female characters full of wit and intelligence and these traits come through loud and clear through the solid narrative talents of each poet. Wide screen. Condoms are used but look quick for them.
At the cabaret, a pole dancing dude is the night's entertainment as guests buy chips that are then handed to a poet of their choice as payment for the reading of a poem, or in this case, an erotic story. So, "a night of erotic readings" is what's in store.

A cute, busty, short haired blonde named Sophia (Sophia Prada) gives her chip to The Composer, a beautiful poet, who puts the chip down her top then tells the tale of a woman who meets a couple-he named Alex, she named Alex---at her bar. The trio stay well into the night and meet for a daytime date where Sophia strums a guitar and sings to the duo out in the park. Sophia has trysts with the duo but never together so the sex scene is a wonderfully edited dual encounter on the same stairway and in the same couch environ with shots of her with the female Alex intercut with shots of the male Alex. Troubles arise and the tale ends with Sophia finding a new friend, named Alex, of course.

A young couple hands a few chips to a mysterious male poet, Tennessee Pink, who tells the tale of his mother, (Lady Diamond) an artist and thief of all things creative. With relish, he reveals her greatest piece of thievery, the time when she home-intrudes upon her favorite author, Karl Razzman, (Mario Mentrup) ties him to a piece of furniture and has her way with him. Wearing a full black body outfit except for holes for her mouth and eyes, she teases him by rolling a tiny spiked silver disc down his front; she cuts his boxer shorts with a small scissors then pulls the rest of the garment from out from under his torso in order to suck his cock. She unzips a small zipper at her pubic area then rides him in a few different positions, drugs him and leaves him. And in a nice finishing touch to the tale, Tennessee divulges just what she exactly stole from Razzman.

Another poet, Simone, gets her chip and tells of a 30th birthday party where friends of the birthday girl give her a special present: a phone number that leads to a blindfolded ride with a helmeted motorcycle rider, who drops her in front of a strange doorway engulfed in oversized bubble lettered graffiti. She wanders into the building and takes a lift upstairs where her present awaits in a labyrinth of white flowing sheets. Here, in wonderland, the lovely Laura (Liandra Dahl) encounters a hunky lover (Matisse)-someone she's lusted after whenever she's seen him around town.

At a bar, poet Eva Leon, a blond with red panty hose, tells the tale of Anna (Samia Duarte) and Albert (Didac Duban) meeting again after a torrid weekend affair a year earlier. Their sexual encounter, told via flashbacks, is intercut with their present musings about seeing each other again then with frustrating thoughts when one is late to their rendezvous point.
